Using
technology
to
enhance
life
has
always
been
a
goal
for
society.
We
have
become
accustom
to
automation
in
our
cars,
motorized
windows,
climate
control,
central
locking
and
automatic
lights,
which
turn
on
in
advance
of
our
entry.
These
options
were
luxuries
years
ago,
but
now
are
expected
to
be
standard
features.
It
is
not
unreasonable
to
expect
these
same
comfort
features
in
our
homes
today:
lights
turning
on
when
we
enter
and
disarm
our
alarm,
temperature
adjusting
automatically
based
on
whether
or
not
you
are
at
home,
away
or
asleep.
These
may
seem
like
luxuries
to
some,
but
with
home
sizes
growing
and
the
need
to
include
many
different
electronic
devices,
the
ability
to
centrally
control
the
home
becomes
more
of
a
necessity.
Larger
style
homes
can
have
a
multitude
of
switches.
Turning
them
all
off
when
its
time
for
bed
becomes
a
chore
as
does
closing
the
blinds
and
checking
the
locks
on
many
doors
and
gates.
These
same
homes
may
have
many
zones
of
temperature
control.
Keeping
up
with
the
programming
on
thermostats
for
comfort
and
energy
savings
can
also
be
a
task
A
home
automation
system
centralizes
the
control
of
all
your
systems
in
your
home.
This
centralization
allows
you
to
have
the
systems
respond
to
occupancy,
time
or
weather
and
adjust
accordingly
